Today in the SAILOR history: Dresden 2001

  • Mood:

It's 8 years ago that SAILOR - then in the line-up with Peter, Rob, Phil and Grant - played in Dresden, Germany, today. The concert was part of a three day mini-tour of SAILOR together with Karat, Ted Herold, Dave Ashby, Pussycat, Chris Andrews,Gibson Brothers and The Troggs.
Karsten, Christel and I (as well as our SAILOR-friend Wilma) had a great time not only during the show, but afterwards we enjoyed what can only be described as the most special and funny night ever at the hotel bar, where Rob Alderton decided to play some songs for everybody at the piano. We, the SAILORs and some of the other bands all sang Bohemian Rhapsody", "Yellow Submarine", "I Don't Like Mondays", "Penny Lane", "Piano Man"... the list goes on and on. (Rumours say that an audio recording of this event exists as well! )
It's difficult to describe this very special ater-show-party, really. But what a night!!!!
