Some people might have wondered about Phil's recent blog-entry via Twitter on his homepage. He had a strange gardening accident some days ago while gardening, when tree branch jumped back and went straight inside his ear. Apparently this was rather painfult, but don't worry, he says he will be ok again soon!
All the best for a speedy recovery in stereo...!!!
And because I've been very lazy (website and blog etc.) in the last few weeks, here we go again... Today in the SAILOR history is back:
It's 15 years ago that SAILOR - then in the original line-up with Georg, Henry, Phil and Grant - played in our hometown Kassel (Germany) today.
Wow that was an exciting day... I was only 14 then and I was quite convinced I was going to die of panickiness at any minute. I met Karsten right after school and we waited for the boys in the cold for several hours - eventually realising that they had walked to the hall from their nearby hotel and into the venue through the main entrance, while we'd been freezing at the backstage door.
But things got a lot better afterwards. They gave us backstage passes for this even which was the 5th birthday party of radio FFH (and only for invited guests), we walked through our hometown with all of them, went shopping (to find a SAILOR CD!), got invited for dinner etc. etc. The list goes on.
All SAILOR concert experiences are quite unique and special, of course. But this was one of them which is still very clear and near in my memory. It's strange how some gigs seem near and some seem further away even though they weren't as long ago sometimes (in the sense of how many details I remember).
The first of these two Kassel concerts in one week (they had another one an the annual Oldie Night 4 days later!) was a VERY special one indeed!
